The Royal Parks Apprenticeship Scheme
The Guild supports the Royal Parks Apprenticeship scheme by participating on the Apprenticeship Board.
We provide support and advice to individual apprentices throughout their apprenticeship and beyond. We give awards to apprentices each year to recognise and celebrate outstanding achievement and excellence. We run 'Discovery Days' to inspire apprentices and trainees - helping them network and learn about the rich diversity of career opportunities within our industry - by meeting and hearing from experts in the field.
Royal Parks Apprentices
Royal Parks Apprentices have been in the Parks since the 1960s. The scheme was revitalised in 2009 and since the forming of the Guild, we have supported the scheme by sitting on the Apprenticeship Board.
We collect funds for an Apprenticeship Bursary Scheme that allows us to fund special activities or resources for apprentices/trainees
Apprentice Awards
We assess nominations from apprentices themselves, landscape maintenance contractors, training provider and park management staff for the Guild Apprentice Awards. The awards are given to apprentices demonstrating exceptional achievement and commitment to their daily work and studies.
