In May 1981 London Wildlife Trust’s founders set out the Primrose Hill Declaration, a manifesto and clarion call to gain support for their work. It set out a vision for a greener, more environmentally sensitive and more inclusive London.
At the launch event in the wonderful Camley Street Natural Park has recently been rejuvenated with National Lottery funding, Matthew recalled being inspired as a youngster by London’s Natural History by R. S. R. Fitter.
We hope that young Londoners will also be inspired by this new book, into a career in looking after London’s nature!
